Soldering, like any hands-on activity, always has some risk of injury. Our soldering irons have been tested for use by kids and have been found to be safer to use, mainly because there is no electrical cables to burn through. So as long as they are mindful of being burnt by the solder tip, they should be able to solder safely!

Some projects may require the use of a small screwdriver, pliers or other common household tools, all of which you can get from your local hardware.

Absolutely! We will be adding new projects as often as possible, to grow the electronics kit library over time.

It really depends on each person. If they are comfortable and confident using tools, then they should be great at this! As a general guide, children aged less than 5 might not be well suited.

Each project varies in complexity and so do kids' skills, so it's hard to say. Once you've completed your first project, you should get an idea of how long projects might take just by looking at them.
