About CircuitKids
CircuitKids is all about building skills… technical skills, yes – but we’re more interested in the ‘other’ skills that kids can develop when working with their hands and minds. Making brings with it important life skills, that children can retain long after the project is completed. Problem-solving, persistence, resilience, logical thinking, self-confidence and self-control can all come from working on complex tasks like the projects offered in CircuitKids kits.
Founder of CircuitKids, Matt Hannah, has been a primary school teacher for almost 25 years and has a wide range of experiences with maker education. From working with his own classes with technology and construction, to training teachers on the importance of engaging students in their learning, Matt has always found it easy to ‘think like a kid’. This has enabled him to dream up some great learning projects along the way.

One of the biggest issues with being an expert teacher in technologies is that you only get to share that passion with thirty kids per year. Through CircuitKids, I get to share the fun (and challenge) of electronics with thousands of kids across the country!
